What is It that I am Made of​?

Synopsis
Using images and text generated through workshops with children, the project transforms everyday objects and materials through object installation, shifting light and shadow, and multimedia experimentation.

Here, the “hand” becomes a curious little creature exploring the world—transforming objects into parts of the body, and the body itself into a tiny world. Through playful metamorphosis, each participant’s unique physical features are gently recorded and celebrated.

Artist’s Profile
With “play” as the core of our spirit, the group is open to a wide range of topics, performance venues and forms. Just as the name of the group suggests (“Yinalang” is “Children” pronounced in Taiwanese), we aspire to preserve the child at heart and stay curious. By experimenting with various forms of expression, such as objects, light and shadow and puppetry, we transform everyday objects into the inspiration of our work and extend the imagination and possibility of objects.  In addition to live performances, we also try to combine local features or memories of participants with objects and puppetry to develop a series of workshops. We are always open and look forward to participating in fun art activities.
