Synopsis 
The performance Dialogue of Land and Sea depicts an interspecies friendship between a stray dog and a sea turtle on a beach in April. When the dog discovers the turtle laying eggs, it watches over her until she returns to the sea and protects the nest from natural predators, continuing this care until the hatchlings emerge and make their way back to the ocean.

This true story from Mexico has been adapted into a Thai context, incorporating themes of environmental issues, justice, and animal rights. It is presented through Visual Theatre, blending puppetry, body movement, animation, sound art, and live music to explore the unseen dialogue between different species along the delicate boundary between sea and land.

Artist’s Profile
Ben Busarakamwong is a theatre artist and educator based in Thailand. He teaches at Thammasat Secondary School and is the co-founder of For WhaT Theatre, a collective exploring experimental theatre, movement-based performance, and contemporary puppetry. He also co-founded Puppet Siam, the organizer of Puppet Slam in Bangkok, a platform dedicated to experimental puppetry. Ben’s work centers on devising theatre with young people through collaborative processes that critically engage with state violence, authoritarianism, and the Thai education system. Combining art with critical pedagogy, he empowers youth to find their voices and reflect on urgent social issues. In recent years, his focus has expanded to include puppetry and visual performance as tools to explore identity, power, and coexistence in a rapidly changing world. His latest visual theatre work, "Dialogue of Land and Sea", draws from posthumanism, animal justice, and environmental ethics, examining shifting relationships between humans, animals, and the world.
